İ love The Backyard! İ used to live in the neighborhood and this was the go to location whenever we wanted a drink or just to hang out. İ still come by once a week if I can, because it is lovely catching up with the regulars and the staff behind the bar.

This is a great, classic Baltimore corner bar. It's in a cool old building, the beer selection is good, and the food is very good; definitely a step above the normal bar food. I haven't had the tinned food, but I have had dinner there several times and everything I have ordered has been good. Service is friendly. The resident dog and cat are friendly. Honestly, I'm mostly in the game store upstairs (Silver Canon) playing games when I'm there, not hanging out in the bar, but it seems like a good bar to hang out in. This is actually my favorite place to play because it's above this bar and has good beer and food available. There are also board games available to play, and a handy game store upstairs as well. Just an all around great place. If you live around or are visiting this area, you should go to the Back Yard.

We found this place in our own "back yard" right down the street. I came to explore the wines. They have a very impressively diverse wine list. Everything is fairly priced and the best part of the experience is the tastes the food, the sauces and the wines will leave your palate satisfied. Not to mention the have great deals on bottles to take home.

I used to live around the corner from the Back Yard and always loved coming here. It has a really homey, chill vibe. The drinks are great and I LOVE their pizzas.

Absolutely loved our recent lunch here. Food was excellent - freshly prepared and presented nicely. Service was friendly - will definitely return when we are next back in Baltimore. Thank you 🥳

Friendly staff, good food, good liquor selection, and homey ambiance. This is one of the cooler bars I’ve been in Baltimore. The canned food shelf is so cool and unique. I ordered the charcuterie board and the meat and cheese selection was perfectly curated. Highly recommended.

We just celebrated my mom's 50th birthday here and the first word that comes to mind is WOW. This place hit it out of the park with their service, food, and drinks. We had about 25 people and the back patio was perfect for our party size. Even in the summer heat, it was shaded and the fans kept us cool. The staff were so kind and helpful even as we were setting up. For food, we chose the pizza, caprese panini, steak sandwich, turkey and brie sandwich, tots, salad, and charcuterie. Everything was absolutely perfection. Afterwards we walked to Camden Yards to catch the ballgame! I truly couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my mom.

I discovered Back Yard Baltimore tonight…and what an experience! First, I had the privilege of meeting Gustavo, the resident host, who you can see in the photos. I started my dinner with my first foray into tinned fish- so much better than I was expecting. Then I had (half of) a Detroit style pizza with prosciutto, hot honey and hot sauce that was absolutely spectacular! The vibe of the place was so laid back and welcoming. So cool and looking forward to my next visit to Baltimore to see them again.

Only had drinks, but this place was fantastic. Drinks were well made, bartender was really friendly, and the place was super welcoming. And Franklyn and Gustavo, though a bit sleepy, are the best welcoming crew in Baltimore.
